YuWaah (Generation Unlimited in India) at UNICEF and the 10to19: Dasra Adolescents Collaborative have partnered together for a Joint Call for Solutions and are seeking to support a pool of solution providers with the potential of creating transformational delta change that can be accelerated to positively impact youth leadership, economic opportunities, and civic participation in India.
YuWaah and 10to19 are working together to improve outcomes for adolescents and young people in India by identifying whitespaces and impactful initiatives/models that have the potential to scale. 10to19 and YuWaah will provide support in the form of technical expertise; network support; advocacy support; youth-centred programming; design thinking; and in some cases financial support. |
WHAT IS THE CALL FOR SOLUTIONS?
This Joint Call for Solutions aims to achieve nationwide socio-economic impact, which requires multi-sectoral coordination across Government, civil society, private sector and, most importantly, young people. Constituting one third of India’s population, young people (10-24) are the force driving much of positive change in the country. Meaningful partnership with young people is at the heart of all that we do at YuWaah and 10to19.
We believe that partnerships and aligning efforts will yield multifold returns for the ecosystem while also being cost-effective and scalable. Our aim is to support solutions that go beyond being ‘for young people’ to actively incorporate their participation and in the scale-up journeys of Partners. Through the course of our efforts, young people will have various avenues to put forward their expectations and aspirations from the solutions, including participating in the partner selection process. The themes for this year’s joint call for solutions seeks solutions that address the current whitespaces in a diverse range of areas, such as entrepreneurship and youth centrality.
